[Chapter ten also applies to you today because starting in verse seventeen Jesus Christ is talking about things that will happen and what you should do in the end generation which is now.]
10:1 And when he [Jesus] had called unto him [Himself] His twelve disciples, He gave them power [Authority in His name] against unclean spirits, to cast them out, and to heal all manner of sickness and all manner of disease.
2 Now the names of the twelve apostles [The word apostle meaning one sent forth with authority.] are these; The first, Simon, who is called Peter, and Andrew his brother; James the son of Zebedee, and John his brother;
3 Philip, and Bartholomew; Thomas, and Matthew the publican; James the son of Alphaeus, and Lebbaeus, whose surname was Thaddaeus;
4 Simon the Canaanite, [Zealot] and Judas Iscariot, who also betrayed Him.
[The apostles as a whole could speak different languages. They could speak Hebrew, Greek, Latin, and Aramaic. When they are sent out they will be sent to areas where these different languages are spoken. It is no accident that Jesus Christ picked these twelve. He knew exactly who they were.]
5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying, Go not into the way of the Gentiles, [Gentile Nations] and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye [You] not:
[Gentiles are all people not of the twelve tribes of Israel.]
6 But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
[Jesus Christ is not playing favorites here. All of Yahveh’s [God’s] word has a time and a place. Jesus Christ was sent as savior for all mankind, but He did not become savior to all people until He died on the cross for the sins of all mankind.]
7 And as ye [You] go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
[The kingdom [The King and His dominion] of Heaven is at hand for all people living in a flesh body today because you will not live past one hundred and twenty five years of age.]
8 Heal the sick, cleanse the lepers, raise the dead, cast out devils: freely ye [You] have received, freely give.
[In other words teach people what I have taught you.]
[Yahveh’s [God’s] word raises people from being spiritually dead, and heals the sick. Anybody spiritually dead is sick.]
[Put Jesus Christ first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word while you are still in your flesh body and He will grant you eternal life, and you will have blessings and rewards in Heaven. Also you will more then likely be raised up in the first resurrection written of in Revelation 20:4-6.]
9 Provide neither gold, nor silver, nor brass in your purses,
[You won’t need money because Yahveh [God] will take care of you if you are doing His will.]
10 Nor scrip [A wallet or leather pouch for food, a begging bag.] for your journey, neither two coats, neither shoes, nor yet staves: [A staff] for the workman is worthy of his meat. [Food]
[Yahveh [God] doesn’t send out beggars. A ministry is kept in place by Yahveh [God] IF it is His will.]
11 And into whatsoever city or town ye [You] shall enter, inquire who in it is worthy; and there abide [Stay] till ye go thence. [Go from there]
[In other words don’t be changing places you are staying. This is because it was customary for the person you were going to stay with to have a celebration and Jesus didn’t want you to have a celebration every day because you had work to do.]
12 And when ye [You] come into an house, salute it.
13 And if the house be worthy, let your peace come upon it: but if it be not worthy, let your peace return to you.
[If you go into someone’s house or town or city and they don’t want to listen to you leave there.]
[Don’t force Yahveh’s [God’s] word on anyone. If someone doesn’t want to listen don’t argue and keep your mouth shut.]
14 And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye [You] depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet.
15 Verily [Truly] I say unto [To] you, It shall be more tolerable [Endurable] for the land of Sodom and Gomorrha in the day of judgment, than for that city.
[Yahveh [God] will judge everyone in the city fairly.]
16 Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst [Middle] of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves.
[Just before our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth as Lord of lords and King of kings Yahveh’s [God’s] elect will be delivered up before the synagogues of satan when satan is here as the anti [Instead of] Christ. satan will appear on earth five months before our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth. This is what Jesus Christ is telling us about in verses seventeen through twenty three.]
[Yahveh’s [God’s] elect are people who put Him first in their lives in the first earth age that was and people that put Him first in their lives by learning and becoming doers of His word in this second earth age.]
17 But beware of men: for they will deliver you up to the councils, and they will scourge you in their synagogues; [Church]
[In other words they will whip you either literally or figuratively.]
[In some churches today you will be abused for teaching Yahveh’s [God’s] word just as Jesus Christ was.]
18 And ye [You] shall be brought before governors and kings for My sake, for a testimony against them and the Gentiles. [Nations]
19 But when they deliver you up, take no thought how or what ye shall speak: for it shall be given you in that same hour what ye shall speak.
[The hour Jesus Christ is talking about is the hour of temptation. The hour of temptation is the five month period that satan will be on earth tempting people and deceiving most people into believing he is Jesus Christ before Jesus Christ returns to earth.]
20 For it is not ye [You] that speak, but the Spirit of your Father [Yahveh] which speaketh [Speaks] in you.
[In other words His Holy Spirit will speak through you.]
21 And the brother shall deliver up the brother to death, [satan is death] and the father the child: and the children shall rise up against their parents, and cause them to be put to death. [A spiritual death]
[In other words members of family’s are going to cause other members of their family to believe satan is our Lord Jesus Christ.]
22 And ye [You] shall be hated of all men for My name’s sake: but he [Or she] that endureth [Remains true to our Lord Jesus Christ] to the end shall be saved.
[Saved meaning to be granted eternal life.]
[To the end for people who put Jesus Christ first in their lives by learning and being doers of His word while in their flesh body meaning to the end of this earth age at the return of our Lord Jesus Christ.]
[People that put Jesus Christ first in their lives and remain true to our Lord Jesus Christ during the millennium age until they are judged at The Great White Throne Judgment will also be saved unto Eternal life.]
[The millennium age is the thousand year period between the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and when satan will be turned loose for a short season to deceive whomsoever he will just before The Great White Throne Judgment.]
23 But when they persecute [Pursue] you in this city, flee ye into another: for verily [Truly] I say unto you, Ye [You] shall not have gone over [Been through all of] the cities of Israel, till the Son of man be come. [Until Jesus Christ returns. Jesus Christ is the Son of man.]
24 The disciple [Pupil] is not above his master, [Teacher] nor the servant [Slave] above his lord. [Master]
25 It is enough [Sufficient] for the disciple [Pupil] that he be as his master, [Teacher] and the servant [Slave] as his lord. [Master] If they have called the master [Teacher; Jesus Christ is the teacher.] of the house Beelzebub, [Beelzebub meaning lord of the dung hill.] how much more shall they call them of his household?
[In other words if they called Jesus Christ lord of the dung hill they are going to call you the same thing.]
26 Fear them not therefore: for there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known.
[The truth will be known.]
27 What I tell you in darkness, that speak ye in light: and what ye [You] hear in the ear, that preach ye [You all] upon the housetops.
[During that time period housetops were used for public statements and announcements.]
[Don’t be afraid to plant Yahveh’s [God’s] word in people but don’t be a religious extremist.]
28 And fear not them which kill the body, [Your flesh body] but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear Him [Yahveh] which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
[The instant your flesh body dies you will go in to your spiritual body. Your spiritual body contains your soul. Your soul is you, and your spirit is the intellect [Thinking process] of your soul.]
[As it is written in Revelation 20:14 death and hell will be cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.]
[The first death is the death of your flesh body. The second death would be the death of your soul, and IF your soul dies you will cease to exist. There will be no existing hell.]
29 Are not two sparrows sold for a farthing? [A Roman coin] and one of them shall not fall on the ground without your Father. [Without your Father Yahveh [God] knowing they fell.]
[Yahveh [God] knows you and He knows you when you hurt.]
30 But the very hairs of your head are all numbered.
[Yahveh [God] knows everything about you.]
31 Fear ye [You] not therefore, ye [You] are of more value than many sparrows.
[Yahveh’s [God’s] elect are precious to Him because they put Him first in their lives and do good works for Him. Yahveh [God] loves all His children and wants to be first in their lives.]
32 Whosoever therefore shall confess [Acknowledge] Me before men, [Or women] him [Or her] will I confess [Acknowledge] also before My Father which is in heaven.
33 But whosoever shall deny [Refuse, disavow, contradict] Me before men, [Or women] him [Or her] will I also deny [Refuse] before My Father which is in heaven.
34 Think not that I [Jesus Christ] am come to send peace on earth: I came not to send peace, but a sword.
[As it is written in Revelation 1:16 out of Jesus Christ’s mouth went a two edged sword. His sword is the truth, understanding, and knowledge of His word.]
[Jesus Christ didn’t come to bring peace with satan and make peace with evil people who follow satan, or people that haven’t earned peace by putting Him first in their life.]
35 For I am come to set a man at variance [Set a man apart] against his father, and the daughter against her mother, and the daughter in law against her mother in law.
[In other words Jesus Christ came to set people who know Yahveh’s [God’s]word against people who have been deceived into believing false doctrine; people who will or would be deceived into believing satan is Jesus Christ if satan appeared on earth.]
[As it is written satan will appear on earth five months before our Lord Jesus Christ returns and deceive most people into believing he is Jesus Christ.]
[Beware of the Rapture Doctrine because it is false doctrine. Everybody still in a flesh body will be here when satan appears on earth. Don’t be deceived into believing satan is Jesus Christ.]
36 And a man’s foes shall be they of his own household.
[They will be foes because they will believe the false doctrine of man and you will believe Yahveh’s [God’s] word, and if satan appeared on earth they will be deceived into believing he is Jesus Christ. You won’t believe Jesus Christ has returned and will continue waiting for His return.]
37 He [Or she] that loveth [Loves] father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me: and he [Or she] that loveth [Loves] son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of me.
[Yahveh/Jesus Christ is your eternal Father. He created you and He expects you to put Him first in your life. He gave you your earthly mother and dad. He even died on the cross to save you. Put Him first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word.]
38 And he [Or she] that taketh [Takes] not his [Or her] cross, and followeth [Follows] after Me, is not worthy of Me.
[In other words he or she who doesn’t put Jesus Christ first in their life by becoming a doer of the words of our Lord Jesus Christ as they are written in the original King James Bible is not deserving of having Jesus Christ with them.]
[IF you don’t put Jesus Christ first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word He will more then likely not be with you as the Holy Spirit.]
39 He that findeth [Finds] his life [Self, self interests, worldly things you like to do] shall lose it: and he that loseth [Loses] his life [Self, things he enjoys, worldly things, sinful things] for My sake [On account of Me] shall find it.
[He or she will find eternal life through our Lord Jesus Christ.]
[IF you put Jesus Christ first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word you will have a true purpose in life; you are someone.]
40 He that receiveth [Receives] you receiveth [Receives] Me, and he that receiveth [Receives] Me receiveth [Receives] Him that sent Me.
[In other words anybody who receives and believes my word from you receives Me and Yahveh.]
[Jesus Christ will bless them for receiving you and Yahveh’s [God’s] Holy Spirit will be upon them.]
41 He that receiveth [Receives] a prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet’s reward; and he that receiveth [Receives] a righteous man [Or woman] in the name of a righteous man [Or woman] shall receive a righteous man’s [Or woman’s] reward.
[There were many prophets, Isaiah, Daniel, Amos, Ezekiel, John the Baptist, Micah and others. Have you read, and understood, and believe what they said to you? If you did then you received them.]
[A righteous man or woman is a person who has done things in their life that are right according to Yahveh’s [God’s] word in the eyes of Yahveh.]
[A prophet and righteous man or woman’s reward is eternal life and blessings and rewards in Heaven Forever.]
42 And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones [There were little ones standing around there.] a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, [Student of Jesus Christ] verily [Truly] I say unto [To] you, he [Or she] shall in no wise lose his Or her] reward.
[Verse forty two contains the third level. The prophet was the first level, the righteous man the second level, and the student the third level.]
[Yahveh [God] see’s everything you do.]
