Hebrews 13

13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

[Love is being able to correct someone when he or she is in trouble. Love is being boldly able to stand for the truth.]

2 Be not forgetful to entertain strangers: for thereby some have entertained angels unawares.

[Abraham entertained angels, and he knew an angel when he saw one.]

[Just because someone says they are sent of Yahveh [God] doesn’t mean they are an angel. Beware of people who say they are sent of Yahveh, and come around looking for money. Yahveh [God] don’t send beggars to teach His word.]

3 Remember them that are in bonds, [Remember people in prison for teaching the word of Yahveh.] as bound with them; and them which suffer adversity, [Adversity for teaching the word of Yahveh.] as being yourselves also in the body.

[In other words think of how it would feel if you were in prison.]

4 Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: [Pure] but whoremongers [Male prostitutes] and adulterers God will judge.

[Yahveh [God] will judge people who commit adultery against Him. IF you put other things such as your house, your car, or other material things, including your wife, as more important in your life then Yahveh [God] you are committing adultery against Him. Yahveh [God] expects to be first in your life. He will also judge people who commit adultery against their mate. If you commit adultery against your mate, and repent you will be forgiven IF you can make a good repentance.]

[Verse four has a two fold meaning. Jesus Christ is spiritually our bridegroom. He will not spiritually marry a person who is following or will follow the anti [Instead of] Christ satan. In St. Mark 13:17 Jesus says woe to them that are with child [Meaning with satan] when I return. Jesus said it because spiritually you are supposed to be a person [Soul] who can’t be deceived by satan the anti [Instead of] Christ when he appears five month’s before Jesus Christ returns to earth. As written by Paul in 2 Corinthians 11:2-4 Paul wants to present you as a chaste virgin [Spiritually speaking] to Jesus Christ. Let’s go there.]

2 Corinthians 11:2-4

2 For I am jealous over you with godly jealousy: [Just like Yahveh [God] is] for I have espoused [Engaged] you to one husband, [Jesus Christ] that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ.

[You are to be married spiritually to our Lord Jesus Christ.]

3 But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent [satan] beguiled [Totally seduced] Eve through his subtilty, [Slickness] so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.

[Corrupted by some false teaching preacher of Yahveh’s [God’s] word.]

4 For if he that cometh [Comes] preacheth [Preaches] another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye [You] receive another spirit, which ye [You] have not received, or another gospel, which ye [You] have not accepted, ye [You] might well bear with him.

[You don’t want to listen to them.]

[Don’t be deceived by false teachers. The anti [Instead of] Christ appears on earth at the 6th trump, the 6th seal and the 6th vial, don’t be in a state of mind that will cause you to be fooled by him. If you are a man and are fooled by him and follow him you will be a whoremonger. A whoremonger is a male prostitute. You will have sold yourself to satan. Both men and woman will whore after the anti [Instead of] Christ satan and when they do they will have committed spiritual adultery against Jesus Christ.]

[As it is written in St. Matthew 24:40, two will be working in the field and one will be taken. The one taken will have followed the anti Christ satan. The one left will still be working for Jesus Christ. See that you are not taken first by studying and learning Yahveh’s [God’s] word.]

[Let’s return to Hebrews 13:5.]

5 Let your conversation be without covetousness; [Without greed] and be content with such things as ye [You] have: [In other words be content with the material things you have and a good relationship with Jesus Christ.] for He hath [Has] said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.

[If you are truly following Jesus Christ He is all you need. He will take care of you. You have the Holy Spirit and a guardian angel with you.]

6 So that we may boldly say, The Lord is my helper, and I will not fear what man shall do unto [To] me.

[Don’t fear what man can do to you. As it was said by Jesus Christ and written in St. Matthew, quote, [“And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him [Yahveh] which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.”]

[In St. Luke 10:19&20 Jesus Christ gives us power over all our enemies. Let’s go there.]

St. Luke 10:19-20

19 Behold, [You look here] I give unto [To] you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, [Including the serpents and scorpions in Revelation chapter 9.] and over all the power of the enemy: [Our enemy is satan, and his evil spirits] and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

[So don’t be afraid.]

20 Notwithstanding [Besides that] in this rejoice not, [Don’t be happy and cheerful] that the spirits [Evil spirits] are subject unto [To] you; but rather rejoice, [Be happy and cheerful] because your names are written in heaven.

[In other words be happy and cheerful because you know the word of Yahveh, and love Yahveh, and your name is written in the Lambs book of life.]

[Let’s return to Hebrews 13:7.]

7 Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the word of God: whose faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.

[In other words make sure they are teaching the word of Yahveh, not the word of man.]

[Yahveh [God] wants you to follow Him not man. Respect men and woman who teach the word of Yahveh.]

[Beware of so called teachers of the word that read three or four verses from the Bible on any given day, and then tell you what they think of them. You will never learn the Bible that way. To learn the Bible you have to be taught Chapter by Chapter, verse by verse, precept upon precept, everything in context. That is the only way you can learn the Bible without divine intervention.]

8 Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.

[Yahveh’s [God’s] word never changes. Jesus Christ said in St. Mark 13:23, Behold I have told you all things. There is no new word from Yahveh [God] following what is written in the New Testament. He told you everything you need to know in the Bible and it will never change. Jesus Christ is the living word, so you trust in Jesus Christ, not man. He will never leave you or forsake you, but mankind will.]

9 Be not carried about [Don’t get involved] with divers [Different] and strange doctrines. [In other words don’t get involved in any doctrine other then the doctrine of Jesus Christ.] For it is a good thing that the heart be established with grace; [Grace meaning with the unmerited favor, and love of Jesus Christ.] not with meats, which have not profited them that have been occupied therein.

[In other words Yahveh’s [God’s] health laws haven’t helped much in comparison to salvation [Eternal life] through our Lord Jesus Christ by Him dying on the cross for mankind. Don’t get caught up in vain ceremonies He became when He died on the cross for you.]

[Jesus Christ became our Passover. Symbolically speaking it is His blood that better be on your door post if you want the death angel [satan] to pass over you. Jesus Christ shed His blood on the cross for you so you could repent of your sins and be forgiven, and you had better be able to make a good repentance or you will be spiritually dead when your flesh body dies.]

[To make a good repentance you have to put Jesus Christ first in your life by doing His will. His will is for you to learn and become a doer of His word.]

10 We have an altar, whereof they have no right to eat which serve the tabernacle

[Our altar is the cross because if you try to offer anything other then Jesus Christ you are committing blasphemy against the Holy Spirit, the Son, and the Father. Jesus Christ was the last blood sacrifice. He shed His blood one time for your sins.]

11 For the bodies of those beasts, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned without the camp.

[They are burned outside the camp of the Israelite’s.]

12 Wherefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify [Purify, make holy] the people with His own blood, suffered without the gate.

[In other words Jesus Christ suffered outside the camp, and took place of the blood sacrifices.]

[Don’t go back to them.]

13 Let us go forth therefore unto Him [To Jesus Christ] without the camp, bearing His reproach.

[In other words bearing the things that were said, and done to Him because of what He said.]

[If you teach Jesus Christ, spreading His word and tell people why he died on the cross for you He will bless you. You will have blessings and rewards on earth and in Heaven. When you follow Jesus Christ and do His will there will be ridicule. Being a Christian is boldly standing up for the word of Jesus Christ. Don’t put up with people who have been overcome by satan’s evil spirits.]

14 For here have we no continuing city, [On earth in this flesh body] but we seek one to come.

[In other words we seek the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and the city He brings with Him, and the many membered body of Jesus Christ, and the tabernacle and ultimately the New Jerusalem wherein Yahveh the Lord God almighty and the Lamb are the temple of it.]

15 By Him [By Jesus Christ] therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to His name.

[Praising Yahveh [God] our Heavenly Father, and giving thanks for everything He has done for you in the name of Yahshua. [Jesus Christ]

[Yahveh [God] loves His children. Let Yahveh [God] know you love Him, and put Him first in your life by doing His will and you will be blessed.]

16 But to do good and to communicate forget not: [Don’t forget to talk and fellowship with others.] for with such sacrifices God is well pleased.

[Talk to people about the word of God, and plant seeds [Yahveh’s [God’s] word] because doing so pleases Yahveh.]

17 Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch [Watch out] for your souls, as they that must give account, [To Yahveh] that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you.

[Do a good work for our Lord Jesus Christ. Submit yourselves to Yahveh, and His word.]

18 Pray for us: for we trust we have a good conscience, in all things willing to live honestly.

[Paul is saying pray for us because there is temptation in the world. It is his wish to live by Yahveh’s [God’s] word.]

19 But I beseech [Call for] you the rather to do this, [Pray for me] that I may be restored to you the sooner.

[Paul was under house arrest in Rome Italy at the time Hebrews was written.]

20 Now the God of peace, that brought again from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, [People] through the blood of the everlasting covenant,

[Through the shedding of His blood on the cross for you, by whom you will receive the blessings, rewards, and eternal life promised to you by Him, IF you obey Him. It is His will to you, your inheritance; you are His child; He owns all things.]

Is your name in His will? If it’s not you had better start obeying Him. Jesus Christ wants your love and respect.]

21 Make you perfect [Be complete] in every good work to do His will, [In other words be complete in the work you do for Him, and work to do His will, not yours. If you don’t know His will then you don’t know His word.] working in you [Doing] that which is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ [In other words do His will by doing righteous things according to His word.] to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen.

[The word amen means that’s that, that’s the way it is, and that’s the way it is going to be.]

22 And I beseech [Call for] you, brethren, [Brothers and sisters in Christ] suffer [Put up with] the word of exhortation: [The word of Comfort, and consolation I have written you] for I have written a letter unto [To] you in few words.

23 Know ye [All of you] that our brother Timothy is set at liberty; [He’s free now] with whom, if he come shortly, I will see you.

[In other words Paul will see them through the eyes of Timothy.]

24 Salute [Embrace] all them that have the rule over you, and all the saints. [Holy people] They of Italy salute you.

25 Grace be with you all. Amen.

[In other words may the unmerited favor and love of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all.]
