Hebrews 10

[In Chapter Ten the worldly, carnal, [Fleshly] ceremonial ordinances are done away with. In this Chapter Jesus Christ becomes everything to us. To sacrifice blood offerings to Yahveh [God] now is an abomination to Him. In Hebrews chapter four Jesus Christ became our sabbath. We rest in Him every day not just one particular day of the week. Without Jesus Christ you can not be given eternal life because your sins are forgiven by Him. He became the atonement [Covering] for your sins in the last chapter. By repenting of your sins and asking Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ you are perfect in His eyes, IF you believe in Him and obey Him. He expects you to learn and become a doer of His word.]

10:1 For the law [Old Testament law, the ordinances] having a shadow of good things to come, [It was a teacher.] and not the very image of the things, can never with those sacrifices which they offered year by year, continually make the comers thereunto perfect.

[The sacrifices couldn’t save people because they kept on sinning. This is not to take away from The Old Testament because it is still your schoolmaster and you need The Old Testament to understand the New Testament. Also the Ten Commandments and other law’s are still in effect. The law will never change because the law is good, and neither man nor women are good when they break Yahveh’s [God’s] law.]

2 For then would they [The blood sacrifices of animals] not have ceased to be offered? because that the worshippers once purged [Cleansed of sin] should have had no more conscience [Moral consciousness] of sins. [The guilt is always there.]

[If the blood sacrifices had made them perfect and brought them salvation [Eternal life] they would not have had to continually offer blood sacrifices for sin.]

3 But in those sacrifices there is a remembrance again made of sins every year.

[The sacrifices reminded them of what sin is, and reminded them they were sinners.]

4 For it is not possible that the blood of bulls and of goats should take away sins.

[Only the blood of Jesus Christ shed on the cross for you can take away your sins.]

5 Wherefore [Because of this] when He [Jesus Christ] cometh [Came] into the world, He saith, [Said] Sacrifice and offering thou [You] wouldest [Would] not, [Yahveh [God] doesn’t want blood sacrifices, He wants your love, you are His child.] but a body hast thou [You have] prepared Me:

[Yahveh [God] prepared a body for Jesus Christ.]

6 In burnt offerings and sacrifices for sin Thou [You] hast [Have] had no pleasure.

[Yahveh/Jesus Christ wants your love. Your love makes Him happy.]

7 Then said I, [Jesus Christ] Lo, I come [in the volume of the book [This book, this Bible] it is written of Me,] to do Thy [Your] will, O God.

[This scripture was written one thousand years before Jesus Christ was born.]

8 Above when He [Jesus Christ] said, Sacrifice [The slaying of bulls and goats] and offering and burnt offerings and offering for sin thou [You] wouldest [Would] not, [Don’t do it] neither hadst [Had] pleasure therein;

[In other words Yahveh [God] had no pleasure from the burnt offerings of bulls and goats which were offered by the law in The Old Testament.]

9 Then said He, [Jesus Christ] Lo, I come to do Thy [Your] will, O God. He taketh away the first, [He took away the animal sacrifices, the blood sacrifices, the ordinances.] that He may establish the second.

[The second is He put in place the eternal order of redemption and atonement [Covering] of our sins by the shedding of His blood on the cross for you. So believing in Jesus Christ, and obeying Him you can be forgiven for your sins and be granted eternal life by Him.]

10 By the which [By redemption and atonement for sins] will we are sanctified [Made clean, pure, morally blameless, holy] through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

[Jesus Christ was the sacrifice for one and all times for all mankind.]

11 And every priest standeth [Stands] daily ministering and offering oftentimes the same sacrifices, which can never take away sins:

[They were still doing it as Paul was teaching because they had not yet learned what Jesus Christ had done for them.]

12 But this man, [Jesus Christ] after He had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God;

[Jesus Christ offered one sacrifice for sins forever when He sacrificed Himself on the cross for all mankind.]

13 From henceforth [From now on] expecting till His enemies be made His footstool.

[This hasn’t happened yet. There is still evil in the world caused by satan’s evil spirits, and satan hasn’t appeared and been destroyed.]

14 For by one offering [The offering of Himself on the cross.] He hath [Has] perfected [Made perfect] for ever them that are sanctified.

[Sanctified meaning they have been made clean, pure, morally blameless, and holy in the eyes of the Lord because they do that which is of the Holy Spirit. That is, if they break Yahveh’s [God’s] Law they repent and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. Because of doing so they have a new start, washed clean by the blood Jesus Christ shed on the cross for you. They that are sanctified can make a good repentance and are willing to serve our Lord Jesus Christ.]

15 Whereof [Of whom] the Holy Ghost [Spirit] also is a witness to us: [The evidence is, when the Holy Spirit touches you it warms your heart.] for after that He had said before,

16 This is the covenant [Contract] that I will make with them after those days, saith [Said] the Lord, I will put my laws into their hearts, [Minds] and in their minds will I write them;

[They will know the difference between right and wrong. This doesn’t happen until the millennium. The millennium is a one thousand year teaching period between the time Jesus Christ returns and when satan will be turned loose for a short season to deceive whomsoever he will just before The Great White Throne Judgment. During that time period discipline will be taught.]

17 And their sins and iniquities [Their wickedness, violations of Yahveh’s [God’s] Law] will I remember no more.

[Yahveh will remember them no more because they are gone forever.]

18 Now where remission [forgiveness] of these [Sins and iniquities] is, there is no more offering for sin.

[There is no more offering for sin because it is not a sin any more, it is forgiven, it is blotted out, and it ceases to exist in the eyes of Yahveh [God] so you forget about it because you are a new person.]

[If any person or church holds any sin against you, such as divorce after you have repented and are forgiven by Yahveh [God] they are hypocrites. They don’t know the word of Yahveh.]

19 Having therefore, [Because of this] brethren, [Brothers in Christ] boldness to enter into the holiest by the blood of Jesus,

[To enter into the holiest is to enter into the inner veil, into the presence of Yahveh, and ultimately into New Jerusalem where Yahveh [God] will dwell with His children, for He and the Lamb are the temple of it.]

[Jesus Christ made it so by repenting of your sins and asking Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in His name you could become one of the many member-ed body of Jesus Christ.
Yahveh [God] gave you a spiritual body to be raised up in the first resurrection when He returns to earth at the second advent, and placed under the altar of Yahveh [God] when your flesh body dies and into the presence of Yahveh [God] after The Great White Throne Judgment in the New Jerusalem for eternity. That is IF you obey Jesus Christ. IF you don’t know the word how can you obey Him?]

20 By a new and living way, [By putting Jesus Christ first in your life by obeying Him, and by repenting of your sins, and asking Yahveh [God] for forgiveness of your sins in the name of Jesus Christ.] which He hath [Has] consecrated [Dedicated] for us, through the veil, that is to say, His flesh;

[The veil in the tabernacle signified the body of Jesus Christ. When Jesus Christ died on the cross the veil was rent, [Split] giving mankind access to Yahveh [God] through Him.]

21 And having an High Priest over the house of God;

[Jesus Christ is a High Priest who never sins, and He is a perfect High Priest.]

22 Let us draw near with a true heart [Mind] in full assurance of faith, [No doubt at all in having faith in Jesus Christ.] having our hearts [Minds] sprinkled from an evil conscience, [Upon repentance] and our bodies washed with pure water.

[Pure water is the word of Yahveh. Jesus Christ is the word.]

23 Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; [for He is faithful that promised;]

[In other words be firm in your faith in Jesus Christ.]

[Jesus Christ is faithful in His promises. You can believe He will keep the promises He made to mankind in the Bible. You can count on His promises. His promises are good to the righteous and bad to the unrighteous.]

24 And let us consider [Think about] one another to provoke [Provoke meaning to incitement to good or dispute in anger, to teach, and raise up] unto love and to good works:

[Good works is the work and righteous acts you do for Yahveh [God] or because of Yahveh. The word of Yahveh [God] raises you up.]

25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, [Not failing to assemble ourselves together.] as the manner of some is; but exhorting [Helping, correcting] one another: and so much the more, as ye see [See, plus know with understanding] the day approaching.

[The day approaching is the 2nd advent, the day our Lord Jesus Christ returns to earth. It is the first day of the millennium. The millennium is a one thousand year teaching period between the return of Jesus Christ and when satan will be turned loose for a short season to deceive whosoever he will just before The Great White Throne Judgment. As it is written in 2 Peter 3:8 one day to the Lord is a thousand years to mankind.]

26 For if we sin wilfully after that we have received the knowledge of the truth, [The truth of the Lord’s Day, and the things that will happen and take place before the end of this earth age. The truth of the word of Yahveh, this word, this Bible. You have to know the truth before you commit the sin.] there remaineth [Remains] no more sacrifice for sins,

[No more sacrifice meaning it is an unpardonable sin. The unpardonable sin to not allow the Holy Spirit to witness through you against the anti [Instead of] Christ satan. It is written of in St. Luke 12:10.]

27 But a certain fearful looking for of judgment and fiery indignation, which shall devour the adversaries.

[Adversaries are people who are deceived into following satan and work for him. They will suffer the judgment and indignation of Yahveh. These adversaries are people who have the mark of satan as it is written in Revelation 14:9-11.]

28 He that despised [Broke] Moses’ law [Yahveh’s [God’s] law given through Moses] died without mercy [Compassion, pity] under two or three witnesses: [This applies to whosoever broke Yahveh’s [God’s] laws punishable by death.]

[Verse twenty nine applies to anyone who turns their back on Yahveh. You are supposed to be Yahveh’s [God’s] messenger, not satan’s. Don’t follow Satan the anti [Instead of] Christ when he appears at the 6th trump. Jesus Christ will return to earth at the 7th trump after the anti [Instead of] Christ satan appears, not before. Don’t be deceived, no one is flying away [Rapturing] out of here.]

29 Of how much sorer [Worse] punishment, suppose ye, [Do you think] shall he be thought worthy, who hath [Has] trodden under foot the Son of God, and hath [Has] counted the blood of the covenant, an unholy thing, and hath [Has] done despite [Insult] unto the Spirit [The Holy Spirit] of grace?

[Grace meaning of benefit, gifts and favor to you.]

[The covenant is Jesus Christ dying on the cross for your sins so you can repent of your sins and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness of your sins in the name of Jesus Christ.]

30 For we know Him [Yahveh] that hath [Has] said, Vengeance belongeth [Belongs] unto [To] Me, I will recompense, [Repay] saith [Said] the Lord. And again, The Lord shall judge His people.

[Verse thirty is quoted from Deut 32:35. It is part of the song of Moses, the song the over commers will sing as it is written in Revelation 15:3.]

[The song of Moses tells us how to keep ourselves from being entangled by the snares of satan. It gives us wisdom and understanding so we are pleasing to Yahveh. If we as individuals don’t please Yahveh [God] we are in trouble. No blessings, no prayers answered, and no forgiveness for sins because if we as individuals don’t please Yahveh [God] we can not make a good repentance. Yahveh [God] will not listen to you if you are not pleasing to Him.]

31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

[It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of Yahveh [God] IF you fail to put him first in your life and obey him. It is especially fearful for people who call themselves Christians but will fail or fail to overcome satan. This is includes preachers, pastors, and any so called teachers of Yahveh’s [God’s] word who never get around to teaching Yahveh’s [God’s] word chapter by chapter, verse by verse, and also includes those who teach the so called rapture doctrine.
You don’t have to fear Yahveh [God] if you sincerely put Him first in your life and obey Him to the best of your ability. He loves you and will not hurt you. I say sincerely to the best of your ability because none of us are perfect. You put God/ Jesus Christ first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word.]

32 But call to remembrance [You think about] the former days, in which, after ye [You] were illuminated, [After you had truth and knowledge in the word of Yahveh, after you were enlightened.] ye [You] endured [Suffered] a great fight of afflictions;

[After you have wisdom and knowledge in the word of Yahveh and work for Jesus Christ planting seeds and spreading the word of Yahveh [God] satan is going to give you trouble through other people.]

33 Partly, whilst [While] ye [You] were made a gazingstock both by reproaches and afflictions; [Reproaches and afflictions meaning to be made light of and put down by other people.] and partly, whilst [While] you [You] became companions of them that were so used.

[In other words you became associates with others that were made light of and put down by other people when you changed into becoming a true Christian when you were blessed by Yahveh [God] instead of cursed as those who put down and make light of true Christians.]

34 For ye [You] had compassion of me [The word me should be prisoners] in my [Their] bonds, [The prisoners are people who are bound by falsehoods. People in bondage by satan.] and took joyfully the spoiling of your goods, [The things you did for Jesus Christ.] knowing in yourselves that ye [You] have in heaven a better and an enduring substance.

[Your enduring substance will be property and wealth, blessings and rewards, and eternal life.]

[You know within yourself you have Jesus Christ, and thru Him you know you have blessings and rewards in Heaven and on earth, and eternal life. The word substance meaning its there and it’s solid. It’s there for you.]

35 Cast not away therefore your confidence, [In other words keep your confidence in Jesus Christ and His word.] Which hath [Has] great recompence [Payment to be made] of reward.

[Rewards for you.]

36 For ye [You] have need of patience, [Have patience] that, after ye [You] have done the will of God, ye [You] might receive the promise.

[The promises are the inheritance, eternal life, and rewards and blessings on earth and in Heaven.]

[As it is written in Ephesians 1:1-12 it’s according to [Yahveh’s] God’s will not ours. Let’s go there.]

1:1 Paul, an apostle of Jesus Christ by the will of God, to the saints which are at Ephesus, and to the faithful in Christ Jesus:

[It was Yahveh’s [God’s] will Paul would be the author of about two thirds of the New Testament. As it is written in Acts 9:15, Paul was a chosen vessel of Yahveh.]

2 Grace [Favour] be to you, and peace, [Peace of mind] from God our Father, and from the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath [Has] blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ:

4 According as He hath [Has] chosen us in Him before the foundation of the world, [Before this world age, before the overthrow of satan.] that we should be holy and without blame before Him in love:

5 Having predestinated [Predetermined] us [The elect] unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to Himself, [Jesus Christ has adopted us to Himself] according to the good pleasure of His will,

[According to His will, not ours. It was and will be according to His plan.]

6 To the praise of the glory of His grace, [His granting us unmerited favor.] wherein He hath [Has] made us accepted in the beloved.

[He made us first fruits in Jesus Christ.]

7 In whom we have redemption [Salvation] through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace;

[Grace meaning His mercy, love, unmerited favor.]

8 Wherein He hath [Has] abounded toward us in all wisdom and prudence; [Insight]

[Yahveh [God] is with us. Wisdom is the Bible He had written for you.]

9 Having made known unto us the mystery of His will, [His thoughts] according to His good pleasure [Not yours] which He hath [Has] purposed in Himself:

[Yahveh [God] knew it, and He planned it.]

10 That in the dispensation of the fulness of times [In this final generation] He might gather together in one all things in Christ, both which are in heaven, and which are on earth; even in Him: [This will happen on His return, in one body.]

11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated [Predetermined] [We are 1st earth age elect] according to the purpose of Him [Yahveh] who worketh [Works] all things after the counsel of His own will:

[According to His plan. All things happen just as Yahveh [God] has them planned.]

[The will of Yahveh [God] is for you to put Him first in your life, learn His word, and obey Him. The first and second commandment tells us this. They are written in Deuteronomy 5:7&8. Let’s go there.]

Deuteronomy 5:7&8

7 Thou [You] shalt [Shall] have none other gods before Me.

[Yahveh [God] had better be number one in your life.]

8 Thou [You] shalt [Shall] not make thee [Yourself] any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the waters beneath the earth:

[Don’t worship anything other then Yahveh.]

[Also it is written in St Luke 14:26&27 we are to put Jesus Christ first in our lives. Let’s go their.]

St. Luke 14:26

26 If any man come to Me, and hate [Hate in the Greek means to love less] not his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sisters, yea, and his own life also, He cannot be My disciple.

27 And whosoever doth [Does] not bear his [Own] cross, [Meaning he or she who doesn’t have belief, sincerity, and compassion] and come after Me, [Follow Me] cannot be My disciple.

[It is written through out the Bible we are to obey Yahveh. The following scriptures are a few of them: Hebrews 5:9&10, Acts 5:32, Romans 2:8-11, 2 Thessalonians 1:8-10, Hebrews 13:17, 1 Peter 4:17&18, and Deuteronomy 11:27&28. We are going to cover Hebrews 5:9&10, and Deuteronomy 11:26-28, which are in my opinion most important. Let’s go there.]

Hebrews 5:9&10

9 And being made perfect, He [Jesus Christ] became the author of eternal salvation [Eternal life] unto all them that obey Him;

[We are not perfect in these flesh bodies, and because we are not perfect the last commandment given by Jesus Christ was to repent of our sins, and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in His name. Whosoever is not putting Jesus Christ first in their life is not obeying Yahveh, [God] and therefore they can not make a good repentance for their sins. They will not be forgiven until they start putting Jesus Christ first in their lives.]

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. [Jesus Christ was called of Yahveh.]

Deuteronomy 11:26-28

26 Behold, I set before you this day a blessing and a curse;

27 A blessing, if ye obey the commandments of the LORD [Yahveh] your God, which I command you this day:

28 And a curse, if ye [You] will not obey the commandments of the LORD [Yahveh] your God, but turn aside out of the way which I command you this day, to go after other gods, which ye [You] have not known.

[Whosoever obeys Yahveh [God] has blessings. Whosoever disobeys Yahveh [God] is cursed. The blessings and curses are written in Deuteronomy 27:9 thru 28:68.]

[Let’s return to Hebrews 10:37]

37 For yet a little while, and He [Jesus Christ] that shall come will come, and will not tarry.

[Jesus Christ will return after the things written of in St Luke Chapter 21, St. Matthew Chapter 24, and St. Mark Chapter 13 have come to pass.]

38 Now the just [The righteous, whosoever obeys Yahveh’s [God’s] law] shall live by faith: [Faith in Jesus Christ and His word, this word, this Bible.] but if any man [Or woman] draw back, [Turns away from Yahveh] My soul shall have no pleasure in him.

[Don’t turn away from Yahveh, be patient, wait for Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ will appear at the 7th trump. satan the anti [Instead of] Christ comes first at the 6th trump and will deceive most so called Christians into believing he is Jesus Christ.]

39 But we are not of them who draw back unto perdition; [Unto perdition meaning to satan, to perish, to death] but of them who believe to the saving of the soul.

[We believe in Jesus Christ and do His will, and therefore will be granted eternal life by our Lord Jesus Christ. Yahveh’s [God’s] will is for you to learn and become a doer of His word.]
