HEBREWS

The name Hebrews came from the word Heber meaning those people from across the river. This Epistle was written by Paul to the Hebrews; people who crossed the Euphrates River meaning the eleven or twelve tribes of Israel which were dispersed. [Scattered among other countries.]
Most of the words in parentheses are added by Pastor John Gardner to teach the word of Yahveh [God] to you as it is written in the King James Bible according to the Greek manuscripts from which the King James Bible was translated.

Hebrews 1

1:1 God, who at sundry [Many] times and in divers [Different] manners spake in time past unto [To] the fathers by the prophets,

[Yahveh [God] spoke to them through His prophets.]

2 Hath [Has] in these last days [Since John the Baptist] spoken unto [To] us by His Son, [Jesus Christ] whom He hath [Has] appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the worlds; [The world ages.]

[By comparing St. John 1:1 and St. John 1:14 we know Yahveh [God] came to earth as Jesus Christ in a flesh body.]

3 Who [Jesus Christ] being the brightness of His glory, and the express image of His person, [He looked exactly like Yahveh.] and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high;

[Jesus Christ purged our sins when He shed his blood on the cross for us becoming the last blood sacrifice for one and all times. By putting him first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word you can repent of your sins, and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness of your sins in His name, and He will forgive you and give you eternal life. We are not perfect. Every time we sin we must repent asking for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ gave us a new commandment when he told us to repent of our sins praying in His name to be forgiven. For example when you are asking Yahveh [God] for forgiveness of a sin you say my father Yahveh I ask you to forgive me for my sim of ————— in Yahshau Jesus Christ I pray. To pray meaning to talk to Yahveh.]

4 Being [Christ being] made so much better than the angels, [Angels are servants.] as He hath [Has] by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.

[Jesus Christ is the Son of Yahveh.]

5 For unto [To] which of the angels said He [Yahveh] at any time, Thou art [You are] My Son, this day have I begotten Thee? And again, I will be to Him a Father, and He shall be to me a Son?

6 And again, [Furthermore in the future at the 2nd advent] when He bringeth [Brings] in the firstbegotten into the world, [Into man’s world, not a world age.] He saith, And let all the angels of God worship Him.

7 And of the angels He saith, [Says] Who maketh [Makes] His angels spirits, [Angels are spirits.] and His ministers [Earthly ministers] a flame of fire.

[Earthly ministers Yahveh has chosen are true teachers of His word that warm your spirit with the Holy Spirit if you have eyes to see and ears to hear.]

8 But unto [To] the Son He saith, [Says] Thy [Your] throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a scepter [Rod] of righteousness is the sceptre of thy [Your] kingdom.

[King David tells us of this rod in Psalms 110. Let’s go there.]

Psalms 110:1-7

The LORD [Yahveh] said unto My Lord, [Jesus Christ] Sit thou [You] at My right hand, until I make thine [Your] enemies thy [Your] footstool.

[This will happen when He returns to earth, and today because He gives you power over satan.]

2 The LORD shall send the rod of thy [Your] strength out of Zion: rule Thou in the midst of Thine enemies.

[This will happen when Jesus Christ returns to earth. Jesus Christ will be Lord of lords and King of kings.]

3 Thy [Your] people shall be willing in the day of thy [Your] power, [In the first days of the millennium after His return.] in the beauties of holiness from the womb of the morning: Thou [Jesus Christ] hast [Has] the dew of Thy [your] youth.

4 The LORD hath [Has] sworn, and will not repent, [He will not change His mind.]Thou art [You are] a priest for ever after the order of Melchizedek.

[The meaning of the word Melchizedek is Melchi meaning King, zedek meanig the just, peaceful, and righteous. Melchizedek is the Priest of the Zadok in Ezekiel Chapters 40-44 concerning the millennium, and the Zadok are Yahveh’s (God’s) Elect.]

5 The Lord at thy [Your] right hand shall strike through kings [If they are His enemy’s.] in the day of His wrath. [Anger]

[The day of Jesus Christ’s wrath [Anger] is when He returns to earth at the 2nd advent starting on the first day of the millennium. The millennium is the 1000 year period between the return of our Lord Jesus Christ and when satan will be turned loose a short season just before The Great White throne Judgment.]

6 He shall judge among the heathen, He shall fill the places with the dead bodies; [The dead bodies of fallen angels.] He shall wound the heads over [Rulers of] many countries.

[If they are His enemy’s, as it is written in Genesis 3:15.]

7 He shall drink of the brook in the way: [Jesus Christ is the living water. He is the word and if you partake of His word you will never thirst.] therefore shall He lift up the head.

[Jesus Christ will lift up the head of those that follow Him.]

[Let’s return to Hebrews 1:9.]

9 Thou [Jesus Christ] hast [Has] loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; [Iniquity meaning wickedness, unrighteousness, lawlessness, sin.] therefore God, even thy [Your] God, hath [Has] anointed Thee [You] with the oil of gladness above Thy [Your] fellows. [The other beings.]

[The oil is olive oil; it is the oil of our people. The anointed one is Jesus Christ. When you say Christ you are saying the anointed one.]

10 And, Thou, [You] Lord, in the beginning hast [Has] laid the foundation of the earth; [The soil] and the heavens are the works of thine [Your] hands:

[Jesus Christ made everything, and He is in control.]

11 They shall perish; but Thou [You] remainest; [Remain] [Jesus Christ is forever.] and they all shall wax [Get] old as doth [Does] a garment; [As an article of clothing.]

[Our flesh bodies will get old. Our Father is the same yesterday as He is today.]

12 And as a vesture [A covering] shalt Thou [Yahveh will] fold them [Our flesh bodies] up, and they shall be changed: [Changed into a spiritual body.] but thou [You Yahveh] art [Are] the same, and thy [Your] years shall not fail.

[Yahveh [God] doesn’t change.]

[We have two bodies, a flesh body and a spiritual body. The instant you die you go into your spiritual body; it is written of in 1 Corinthians Chapter 15. Your spiritual body doesn’t get old, it is not perishable, it doesn’t get sick, but it is mortal, libel to die, and it must put on immortality. [Eternal life] To put on immortality a person has to put Jesus Christ first in their life by learning and becoming a doer of His word. This doesn’t mean we are perfect because we are all sinners in one way or another. When you repent of your sins in the name of Jesus Christ you are forgiven for your sins and counted as perfect. It is the reason Jesus Christ died on the cross for us. He is the last blood sacrifice for one and all times. He sacrificed His blood for our sins.]

13 But to which of the angels said He [Yahveh] at any time, Sit on My right hand, until I make thine [Your] enemies thy [Your] footstool?

[Yahveh [God] didn’t say this to any of them. Angels are servants, and messengers of Yahveh, and Yahveh’s [God’s] children.]

14 Are they [Angels] not all ministering spirits, [Ministering to us] sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

[Heirs of salvation mean heirs of Eternal life.]

[Angels will minister to [Be of benefit to, a help] to all those who believe Jesus Christ is the savior of this world, and to all people who put Jesus Christ first in their lives by learning and becoming doers of His word.]

Hebrews 2

[Chapter 2 tells us why Yahveh [God] came to earth as Jesus Christ, the only begotten son of God, Emanuel, Yahveh [God] with us in a flesh body.]

2:1 Therefore we ought to [Should] give the more earnest heed [Attention] to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip. [Let them slip away from us.]

2 For if the word spoken by angels was stedfast, [If it was Yahveh’s [God’s] word.] and every transgression and disobedience [Of the people] received a just recompence of reward;

[When you are disobedient to Yahveh [God] He will recompence. Recompence meaning He will reward you with what you have coming to you. Your reward could be good or it could be bad. In a case of transgression and disobedience of Yahveh’s [God’s] law it is pay back time so your reward will be bad. You will be corrected for being disobedient and going against Yahveh’s [God’s] law.]

3 How shall we escape, [Escape Yahveh’s [God’s] wrath] if we neglect so great salvation; [If we neglect what He did on the cross for us so we could have eternal life.] which at the first began to be spoken by the Lord, and was confirmed unto us by them that heard Him;

[In other words it was passed on to other people by the prophets and His apostles.]

4 God also bearing them witness, both with signs and wonders, and with divers [Different] miracles, and gifts of the Holy Ghost, [Spirit] according to His own will?

[According to Yahveh’s [God’s] will not yours. Yahveh [God] is in control.]

5 For unto [To] the angels hath [Has] He not put in subjection [In control] the world to come, whereof we speak.

[Yahveh [God] is not going to put angels in control of the world to come. He will be King.]

6 But one [A prophet] in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou [You] art [Are] mindful of him? or the son of man, [Jesus Christ] that thou [You] visitest [Appoint, give a crown to] Him?

[This was written in Psalms 8:4 by King David the King of Israel.]

7 Thou [Yahveh] madest [Made] Him a little lower than the angels; thou crownedst [You crowned] Him with glory and honour, and didst [Did] set Him over the works of Thy [Your] hands:

8 Thou hast [You have] put all things in subjection under His [Jesus Christ’s] feet. For in that He [Yahveh] put all in subjection under Him, He [Yahveh] left nothing that is not put under Him. [Under Jesus Christ] But now we see not yet all things put under Him.

[We haven’t seen all things put under His control yet, but everything will be subject to Him when He returns to earth at the 2nd advent. At that time He will be Lord of lords and King of kings, and He will rule.]

[Verse nine is why Yahveh [God] came to Earth as Jesus Christ in a flesh body.]

9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels for the suffering of death, crowned with glory and honour; that He by the grace [Favor] of God should taste death for every man.

[Jesus Christ died on the cross for our sins, becoming the last blood sacrifice for one and all times so upon repenting of our sins in His name we can be forgiven for our sins, washed clean by the blood He shed on the cross for us, IF we as individuals put him first in our lives by learning and becoming doers of His word.]

10 For it became Him, [Yahveh] for whom are all things, and by whom are all things, in bringing many sons [And daughters] unto glory, to make the captain [Jesus Christ] of their [And our] salvation perfect through sufferings.

[Jesus Christ suffered on the cross for you so you could be forgiven for your sins. He paid the price for your sins on the cross by offered Himself for your sins.]

[In verse eleven we have the humility, the glory, and the judgment in one, in His love for His children.]

11 For both He [Jesus Christ] that sanctifieth [That makes us holy, morally blameless.] and they [They and us] who are sanctified [Holy, morally blameless] are all of one: [One body] for which cause He [Jesus Christ] is not ashamed to call them brethren,

[Verse twelve is quoted from Psalms 22:22. Psalms 22 tells us about the crucifixion of Jesus Christ approximately 1000 years before it happened.]

12 Saying, I [Jesus Christ] will declare thy [Your] name [Yahveh’s name] unto My brethren, in the midst [Middle] of the church will I sing praise unto thee. [You]

13 And again, I will put my trust in Him. [In Yahveh] And again, Behold I [Jesus Christ] and the children [The Elect] which God hath [Has] given Me. [Jesus Christ]

14 Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, [Born of woman] He [Yahveh] also Himself likewise took part of the same; [Yahveh also was born of woman as Jesus Christ. He wouldn’t ask you to do anything He wouldn’t do.] that through death He might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil;

[Verse fourteen is why Yahveh [God] came to earth as Emanuel, God with us in a flesh body.]

15 And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage.

[Yahveh [God] taught them and taught us we don’t have to fear the death of the flesh body. We don’t have to fear the death of our flesh body because the instant our flesh body dies we know we are going into our spiritual body.]

16 For verily [Truly] He [Yahveh] took not on Him the nature [Form] of angels; [A super being] but He took on him the seed of Abraham.

[Yahveh [God] could have been anything He wanted to be, but He wouldn’t ask you to do anything He wouldn’t do.]

17 Wherefore in all things it behoved Him [Yahveh] to be made like unto His brethren, [Just like you] that He might be a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, [This is the reason] to make reconciliation for the sins of the people.

[In other words so they and you will be acceptable to Him thru repentance of sins.]

18 For in that He [Yahveh] Himself [As Jesus Christ] hath [Has] suffered being tempted, [By satan] He is able to succour [Help, to save] them that are tempted. [Every time you repent.]
