Hebrews 5

[This Chapter is about repentance.]

5:1 For every high priest taken from among men is ordained [Appointed by Yahveh] for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins:

2 Who can have compassion [Be gentile in their teachings.] on the ignorant, and on them that are out of the way; [Out of the way of Jesus Christ.] for that he [Every High priest] himself also is compassed [Hampered, bound] with infirmity. [Weakness]

[We are not perfect while in these flesh bodies because we all sin. A high priest knows the way to Jesus Christ, and is able by gentile teaching, and seed planting, to bring people to Jesus Christ.]

3 And by reason hereof he ought, [Should] as for the people, so also for himself, to offer for sins.

[In other words every high priest should offer prayers for himself and other people because we are all sinners, including priests.]

[As it is written in Exodus 32:1-4, Aaron a high priest of Yahveh [God] was not perfect because he went against Yahveh [God] when he made the molten calf out of golden earrings, and the people worshiped it. So don’t think pastors, or a so called reverend’s, or preachers of Yahveh’s [God’s] word are perfect because they are not. The only way to be cleansed of your sins is by repenting of your sins, and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ.]

4 And no man taketh [Takes] this honour [To be ordained as a priest] unto himself, but he that is called of God, as was Aaron.

[Aaron didn’t volunteer, he was chosen, appointed by Yahveh.]

5 So also Christ glorified not Himself to be made an high priest; but He [Yahveh] that said unto [To] him, Thou [You] art [Are] My Son, to day have I begotten thee. [You]

[Yahveh [God] glorified Him, chose and appointed Him.]

6 As He [Yahveh] saith also in another place, Thou [Jesus Christ] art [Are] a priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.

[Yahveh [God] said forever because He was Melchisedec. Melchi in the Hebrew meaning King; sedec is Zadok the upright, perfect, just, and peace. He is the high priest, Lord of lords, and King of kings. Jesus Christ was of the blood line of the tribe of Judah the King line of the tribes of Israel, and of the Levites the priest line of the tribes of Israel because His mother Mary was of the same blood lines. His blood line [Genealogy] was perfect all the way back to Adam and Eve.]

7 Who [Jesus Christ] in the days of His flesh, when He had offered up prayers and supplications with strong crying and tears unto [To] Him that was able to save Him from death, and was heard in that He feared;

[Jesus Christ feared meaning he reverenced Yahveh. The tears were shed because of the cup of wrath [Anger] that would be poured out on His children at His return to earth. He never prayed to Yahveh [God] to be saved from being crucified.]

8 Though He were a Son, [The only begotten son of God] yet learned He obedience by the things which He suffered;

[Jesus Christ suffered for you on the cross so He could forgive you for your sins. He suffered for you. He was obedient to Yahveh.]

9 And being made perfect, He [Jesus Christ] became the author of eternal salvation [Eternal life] unto all them that obey Him; [To all those that put him first in their lives by learning and becoming doers of His word.]

[We are not perfect but are accounted as such when we repent of our sins, and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness in His name. The condition here is the two words; obey Him, because salvation [Eternal life] comes from Him.]

10 Called of God an high priest after the order of Melchisedec. [A priest forever.]

11 Of whom [Jesus Christ] we have many things to say, and hard to be uttered, seeing ye [You] are dull [sluggish, lazy, and stupid] of hearing.

[After what Jesus Christ did for all people by dying on the cross for them, and offering salvation [Eternal life] to all those who would hear and obey him, people who fail to hear and obey when given the opportunity are stupid. People who would put their eternal life in jeopardy by putting worldly things first in their life and not obeying their Father Yahveh [God] are utterly stupid.]

12 For when for the time ye [You] ought [Should] to be teachers, [In other words you have been in church so long you should have enough knowledge and wisdom in the word of Yahveh [God] to be a teacher of His word.] ye [You] have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of God; and are become such as have need of milk, and not of strong meat.

[Paul is talking about people that have sat in a so called church for many years being feed three or four verses a week by a so called preacher of the word. A preacher who never gets around to teaching Yahveh’s [God’s] word Chapter by Chapter, verse by verse. All he or she does is preach salvation, are you saved, are you saved, do you know Jesus. They teach the same thing at most every church service to the same people. The people were not fed Yahveh’s [God’s] word. They were fed what we call milk.]

13 For every one that useth [Uses] milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he [Or she] is a babe.

[The word of righteousness is this Bible.]

14 But strong meat belongeth [Belongs] to them that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.

[You exercise your senses, your mind, by studying Yahveh’s [God’s] word chapter by chapter, verse by verse, learning to tell the difference between good and evil. People who do this become of full age, learning the word of God. The strong meat that will sustain them forever. A baby has to be taken care of. Someone of full age can help others. Yahveh [God] can use a person of full age. He can count on them to work for him.]

Hebrews 6

6:1 Therefore [Because of this] leaving the principles of the doctrine [Instructions] of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; [Perfection meaning into Maturity, full age, by studying the word of Yahveh [God] diligently.] not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

[Paul is talking about teaching salvation over and over again to the same people. It’s a sin teach salvation over and over again to the same people. It is time to start teaching the
word of Yahveh [God] chapter by chapter, verse by verse, precept upon precept. Feed Yahveh’s [God’s] sheep [His children] the word of Yahveh. The famine in the end times is for the word of Yahveh [God] and that time is right now. Put your faith in Yahveh, knowing the whole word is His, not just salvation.]

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

[Paul is saying you don’t need instruction in these things. After you have received instructions on these things move on into the word of Yahveh.]

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

[In other words we will do it if Yahveh [God] gives us eyes to see and ears to hear the truth.]

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, [In the word of Yahveh] and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [Holy Spirit]

[All Yahveh’s [God’s] gifts are given to those that will stick with the gifts He gave them. There is no turning back, be it a gift of teaching, planting seeds, evangelism, worshiping with worship music, or any other gift He may give you. Once you have tasted the gift you are not going to leave it.]

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

[World to come meaning eons of time. An indefinite long period of time.]

[We have tasted the promise and powers of the world to come, peace and harmony, and the riches of being with our Lord Jesus Christ.]

[Jesus Christ was Emanuel Yahveh [God] on earth in a flesh body; this is documented by comparing St. John 1:1 with St. John 1:14.]

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put Him to an open shame.

[Once saved, always saved. Repent and be forgiven if you have fallen away from Jesus Christ. Start obeying him as you did before and repent of your sins and ask Yahveh [God] for forgiveness of your sins in the name of Jesus Christ and be forgiven. After you are saved your rewards and blessings on earth and in Heaven depend upon the work, faith, and love you have for our Lord Jesus Christ. It’s an insult to Jesus Christ to say His salvation doesn’t work. It’s an insult because He died on the cross for you so you could have eternal life. All you have to do is obey Him and sincerely do His will to the best of your ability. His will is for you to put him first in your life by learning and becoming a doer of His word. By learning His word and becoming a doer of His word you can make a good repentance, and therefore be forgiven for your sins.]

[Verse 7 is an analogy [Similarity] of how the earth is compared to people.]

7 For the earth [Soil] which drinketh [Drinks] in the rain that cometh [Falls] oft [Often] upon it, and bringeth [Brings] forth herbs meet [For food and healing] for them by whom it is dressed, [Tilled, worked by man or woman] receiveth [Receives] blessing from God:

[In verse seven Yahveh [God] is telling you to produce. Yahveh [God] gave you the earth and the rain and all you have to do is work it and receive Yahveh’s [God’s] blessings. The analogy here is how you live your life. Yahveh [God] gave you a home in this earth age and He gives you the ability to work and blessings if you do work. We are talking about working for Yahveh, doing His will to take care of your life and being productive for Him, and having peace of mind and being happy in this flesh body. He gave you the tools to do the work. All you have to do is work.]

8 But that which beareth [Bears] thorns and briers is rejected, [People who don’t do anything for Yahveh [God] are rejected.] and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned. [Terminated, consumed]

[If they don’t change between now and The Great White Throne Judgment they will be cast into the lake of fire and suffer the second death. Your first death is the death of your flesh body. The instant your flesh body dies you will go into your spiritual body. Your second death would be the death of your spiritual body and soul. You would cease to exist.]

9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, [Eternal life] though we thus speak.

[In other words even though we are telling you these things we know there are better things for you because you are trying to learn the word of Yahveh [God] and do His will.]

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, [The work you do for Him] which ye [You] have shewed [Showed] toward His name, in that ye [You] have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

[Paul is saying they are a blessing to Yahveh’s [God’s] Elect.]

11 And we desire that every one of you do shew [Show] the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

[In other words stick with working for Yahveh [God] until your flesh body dies or Jesus Christ returns to earth.]

12 That ye [You] be not slothful, [Lazy & stupid] but followers of them who through faith and patience [In Jesus Christ] inherit the promises.

[The promises of eternal life with our Lord Jesus Christ and His rewards.]

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because He could swear by no greater, He sware by Himself,

[Yahveh [God] keeps His promises. There is no greater entity. Yahveh [God] is Lord of Lords and King of Kings.]

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, [You] and multiplying I will multiply thee. [You] [And so He did]

[Verse fourteen is written in Genesis 22:16-18.]

15 And so, after he [Abraham] had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

[Abraham was 100 years old when he received the son Yahveh [God] promised him. Yahveh [God] always keeps His promises but they will be on His time schedule.]

16 For men verily [Truly] swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation [To confirm, establish] is to them an end of all strife. [Dispute, contradiction]

17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew [Show] unto [To] the heirs of promise the immutability [The unchangeability] of His counsel, [Yahveh [God] is not going to change His word.] confirmed it by an oath:

[Yahveh [God] swore it in His name, and if Yahveh [God] says it’s going to happen it will happen.]

[The heirs of promise are His elect being preordained and chosen, and free will Elect of this earth age. They are people who put him first in their lives by learning and becoming doers of His word.]

18 That by two immutable [unchangeable] things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, [Comfort] who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

[Yahveh’s [God’s] oath and His promise are the two unchangeable things. You can count on Him.]

19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, [The hope of Yahveh’s [God’s] promises] both sure and stedfast [Stable] and which [The soul] entereth [Enters] into that within the veil; [Within the sanctuary of Jesus Christ.]

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, [He’s there] made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec. [King of peace, King of the zadok.]
