Deuteronomy 29

29:1 These are the words of the covenant, [Contract] which the LORD [Yahveh] commanded Moses to make with the children of Israel in the land of Moab, beside the covenant [Contract] which He made with them in Horeb.

[Ultimately this contract leads to a contract of a spiritual marriage to Jesus Christ. Yahveh [God] expects you to be a virgin bride, a person who obeys Him, a person who will not be deceived by satan.]

2 And Moses called unto all Israel, and said unto [To] them, Ye [You] have seen all that the LORD [Yahveh] did before your eyes in the land of Egypt unto [To] Pharaoh, and unto [To] all his servants, and unto [To] all his land;

[They saw the plagues Yahveh [God] brought upon Pharoah and Egypt, and they saw Yahveh [God] part the Red Sea so they could escape Pharaoh’s army.]

3 The great temptations which thine [Your] eyes have seen, the signs, and those great miracles:

[He is saying if you are not careful you become immune to Yahveh’s [God’s] blessings and take them for granted. Be careful because you may not see them.]

4 Yet the LORD [Yahveh] hath [Has] not given you an heart [Mind] to perceive, [Understand] and eyes to see, and ears to hear, unto this day.

[You can remember what happened but you can not understand what Yahveh [God] is doing.]

5 And I have led you forty years in the wilderness: your clothes are not waxen [Gotten] old upon you, and thy [You] shoe is not waxen [Gotten] old upon thy [Your] foot.

[Yahveh [God] saw to it that their clothes and shoes did not age during the forty years they were in the wilderness.]

6 Ye [You] have not eaten bread, neither have ye [You] drunk wine or strong drink: that ye [You] might know that I am the LORD [Yahveh] your God.

7 And when ye [You] came unto [To] this place, Sihon the king of Heshbon, [A giant] and Og the king of Bashan, [A giant] came out against us unto battle, and we smote them:

[Yahveh [God] gave them the victory.]

8 And we took their land, [The land on the East side of the Jordan River] and gave it for an inheritance unto [To] the Reubenites, and to the Gadites, and to the half tribe of Manasseh.

[Yahveh [God] gave them the victory.]

[Manasseh is Joseph’s son. The half tribe of Manasseh are his offspring.]

9 Keep therefore the words of this covenant, [Contract] and do them, that ye [You] may prosper in all that ye [You] do.

[IF you want to prosper be a doer of Yahveh’s [God’s] commandments and other word. This includes His law.]

10 Ye [You] stand this day all of you before the LORD [Yahveh] your God; your captains of your tribes, your elders, and your officers, with all the men of Israel,

[This is their summons and invitation to join together in the contract. This contract is open to this day.]

11 Your little ones, your wives, and thy [Your] stranger that is in thy [Your] camp, from the hewer of thy [Your] wood unto the drawer of thy [Your] water:

[Nobody is exempt.]

12 That thou [You] shouldest [Should] enter into covenant [Contract] with the LORD [Yahveh] thy [Your] God, and into His oath, which the LORD [Yahveh] thy [Your] God maketh [Makes] with thee [You] this day:

13 That He may establish thee [You] to day for a people unto Himself, and that He may be unto thee [You] a God, as He hath [Has] said unto [To] thee, [You] and as He hath [Has] sworn unto [To] thy [Your] fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob.

14 Neither with you only do I make this covenant [Contract] and this oath;

15 But with him [Or her] that standeth [Stands] here with us this day before the LORD [Yahveh] our God, and also with him [Or her] that is not here with us this day:

[This means you today. This contract applies to you today. It is up to you as to IF you accept it or not.]

16(For ye [You] know how we have dwelt in the land of Egypt; and how we came through the nations which ye [You] passed by;

17 And ye [You] have seen their abominations, [Detestable, disgusting idol worship.] and their idols, wood and stone, silver and gold, which were among them:)

18 Lest [That] there should be among you man, or woman, or family, or tribe, whose heart turneth [Turns] away this day from the LORD [Yahveh] our God, to go and serve the gods of these nations; lest [That] there should be among you a root that beareth [Bears] gall [Bitterness, poison] and wormwood; [Cursed]

[IF anyone in your church is a root that bears gall and wormwood get rid of them.]

19 And it come to pass, when he [Or she] heareth [Hears] the words of this curse, that he bless himself in his heart, [Mind] saying, I shall have peace, though I walk in the imagination of mine heart, [Mind] to add drunkenness to thirst:

[In other words you are kidding yourself.]

[Verse twenty is going to happen to the root [Person] that bears gall and wormwood.]

20 The LORD [Yahveh] will not spare him, [Or her] but then the anger of the LORD [Yahveh] and His jealousy shall smoke against that man, [Or woman] and all the curses that are written in this book shall lie upon him, [Or her] and the LORD [Yahveh] shall blot out his name from under heaven.

21 And the LORD [Yahveh] shall separate him [Or her] unto evil [To be good for nothing] out of all the tribes of Israel, according to all the curses of the covenant [Contract] that are written in this book of the law:

[Yahveh [God] believes in discipline. You will get what you have coming to you; blessings or cursings.]

22 So that the generation to come of your children that shall rise up after you, and the stranger that shall come from a far land, shall say, when they see the plagues of that land, and the sicknesses which the LORD [Yahveh] hath [Has] laid upon it;

[You can see them, and you know of them.]

23 And that the whole land thereof is brimstone, and salt, and burning, that it is not sown, nor beareth, nor any grass groweth [Grows] therein, like the overthrow of Sodom, and Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboim, which the LORD [Yahveh] overthrew in His anger, and in His wrath: [His hot displeasure.]

[He is telling you if you don’t listen to and obey His voice, and follow the way of your thoughts you may as well be on a burning mountain trying to grow your food. You are not going to grow food on a burning mountain and to think this way you will be a loser.]

24 Even all nations shall say, Wherefore hath [Has] the LORD [Yahveh] done thus unto this land? what meaneth [Means] the heat of this great anger?

[You can see the heat of His anger in the world today.]

25 Then men shall say, Because they have forsaken the covenant [Contract] of the LORD God [Yahveh] of their fathers, which He made with them when He brought them forth out of the land of Egypt:

26 For they went and served other gods, [Traditions and doctrines of men] and worshipped them, gods whom they knew not, and whom He had not given unto them:

27 And the anger of the LORD [Yahveh] was kindled against this land, to bring upon it all the curses that are written in this book:

[Look around you. You can see them.]

28 And the LORD rooted them out of their land in anger, and in wrath, and in great indignation, and cast them into another land, as it is this day.

[And as it is today.]

29 The secret things belong unto the LORD [Yahveh] our God: but those things which are revealed belong unto [To] us and to our children for ever, that we may do all the words of this law.

[Put Yahveh [God] first in your life by doing His will. His will is for you to be a doer of all of His word.]

[Yahveh’s [God’s] contract applies to you in one way or another today.]

[We are not perfect and when we make a mistake we are to keep Yahveh’s God’s commandment to repent of the sin and ask Him for forgiveness in the name of Jesus Christ [Yahshua] Yahveh’s saviour, Emmanuel, Yahveh [God] with us.]

[Yahveh [God] was with us as Jesus Christ [Yahshua] in a flesh body.]
